Tairona

Indigenous people of the Tairona group

Our work in Colombia encompasses the lineage of the Mamos from the Arhuaco, Kogi and Muisca tradition.

MUISCA – KAMUNKWAWISCHE – PATH OF KAKAGUA

“Muisca” means “People”. The work with this tribe is very profound since they are only partially recognised from the government. The Muisca People are on the path of rediscovering and  reappropriating themselves to their land and traditions. Following the Kogi lineage of Mamo Luca of the Sierra Nevada, they have developed the ancient structure of the tribe in the last 30 years. We are supporting them in the process of recuperation of language, rituals, and traditional architecture aiming to live with their families in harmony with the elements and Mother Earth. This is the lineage of the native ancestor from the region of Eldorado (Bogota – Cundinamarca Kuntur Marqa – condor’s nest).

The project of the Muisca family that is taking care & safeguards the ancestral wisdom of the heart medicine~CacaGua and is sharing pedagogies and knowledge of the cocoa and the relationship between territories, that nourish the Good Living of families and communities. The familiy of the Muisca is a bridge for Anatta to support indigenous wisdom and pedagogy of ancestral practices.

THE KOGI

The Kogi (The tribe that is taking care about the balance of Mother Earth) are from the same family as the Arhuaco: The Tairona, a tribe that went up to the mountain of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta, which is also known as “The Heart of the World”. to escape from the brutality of the Colonialism. They have kept a lineage of wisdom uninterrupted that came back to teach another tribe how to regain their indigenous roots. The Kogi lineage we are working with, have dedicated themselves over generations to the reawakening the Muisca tradition from the Andean Eastern Cordillera (Cordillera Oriental), just south of Boyacá in Colombia. Like a chain effect the Muisca are the closest and essential point of junction between the indigenous culture and western countries. Through them and the support of the Kogi lineage we are discovering the real value of our planet that has especially been lost in western societies. It teaches us how to live in harmony with the wisdom of an ancient cosmology and to learn from the fruits of Mother Earth.

Through our engagement, we have been supporting the traditional Cacao made by the tribes and the building of traditional houses around the world, as spiritual mandate spoken by the oracle of the mountains of the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta.

THE ARHUACO

Anatta Sensorium works with the tribe of the Arhuacos who live in the Sierra Nevada of Santa Marta in Colombia. Focus of Anatta Sensorium’s work here is to support re-appropriation of the native land for the tribe and increase their voice in the world through a documentary that can be seen here:

A first film sequence was created, the distribution and impact strategy is in development.

To support the livelihoods of the tribe and create additional income stream for them, Anatta Sensorium helped to distribute native bags (Mochilas) and traditional clothing in the name of the Arhuacos, supporting the traditional work within the community of Nabusimanke in the high peak of the Sierra Nevada, particularly supporting the family of Luis Fernando (to be seen in the movie) and through that a number of people belonging to his community.
