Protecting and preserving indigenous cultures
IMPACT AREA 1:
Cultural understanding between Indigenous and Western people

We offer individuals to go into deep studies with the indigenous communities we work with. We already accompanied several groups from Europe to experience the beauty of the rainforest and the unique traditions first hand. This supports cultural understanding and creates awareness for the importance of Indigenous people and the preservation of their culture.
IMPACT AREA 2:
Increasing the representation of indigenous people in the world

We create cultural bridges not only between individuals and indigenous communities but also between the indigenous communities and governmental, political and cultural institutions with the aim to create a higher representation of indigenous people in the public and global decision making. In the last years we helped to integrate indigenous leaders in climate change conversations at COP28, raised their profile in front of the UNESCO and arranged a visit at the Vatican.
IMPACT AREA 3:
Reviving the traditions of indigenous culture and support their livelihoods

Since the organisation was funded we have raised financial support for indigenous communities to sustain their livelihoods and the protection of their traditions. In the last 4 years we have supported food sovereignty and the creation of a traditional house (Shuhu) for the Yawanawa tribe. We supported the re-appropriation of the native land for the Arhuacos and local cacao production of the Kogis.
IMPACT AREA 4:
Raising awareness for indigenous people through film making
We created and supported several film projects that aim to create awareness for and give insight into indigenous cultures including:
- A documentary of the Yawanawá called Mesenai – Nawa Xina Rami Vesuinai
- A documentary of the Arhuaco tribe
- A film that represents the voices and the art of the indigenous people of the earth: Voice of Spirits
- A short film of Yawanawá elder Pai Nani
