Our Purpose and Mission

The purpose of Anatta Sensorium is to build bridges and cultural understanding between Western and Indigenous people.

Through the passing on of traditional knowledge throughout many generations, Indigenous people carry a vast and deep knowledge, that most of Western people have forgotten but that is vital in solving modern challenges. 80% of the remaining biodiversity on earth is safeguarded by indigenous communities.  These days and throughout history Indigenous people have been marginalised, politically and physically attacked, pushed out from their original lands and have been victims of human rights violation. Deforestation, the invasion of corporate businesses in their territory and environmental pollution are impacting their existence. More than ever their culture and traditions are at risk by the influence of Westernisation.

Anatta Sensorium’s mission is to promote and support indigenous groups, to preserve their culture and livelihoods.
We believe that a shared cultural understanding and mutual ways of learning can offer a healing path for humanity and the historical separation of cultures. We believe that Indigenous wisdom is going to be a vital part of overcoming the global and collective challenges we face today. For this reason the association initiates a cultural exchange program that brings together indigenous and western groups under the aim of mutual cultural understanding. Anatta supports artistic projects, studies and travel events in collaboration withindigenous cultures  so that they can share their unique wisdom in their home territory as well as in Europe  and create an understanding for their culture. We want to make the voice of these minority groups heard in the world. Hence, part of our work is also the organisation of cultural events, concerts, and visits to important cultural institutions like the UNFCCC COP28, the Vatican, UNESCO and the European Parliament. Our aim is also to generate financial support (donations) for the often vulnerable and indigent indigenous families, so that they can  protect and claim their rights, independence, land ownership and traditions. Part of this is also to channel donations into local indigenous projects that serve the education, independence and sustainability of indigenous communities as well as Western people.

Our Community

Anatta is a community of volunteers that dedicated their lives to realise the mission to support indigenous communities and the collective healing with Mother Earth. We are a network of global bridge builders connecting the deep teachings of many indigenous tribes for the benefit of unity, justice and a brighter future for all.

Our values are inspired by the medicine wheel – a sacred symbol with origins in North American Indigenous cultures. It reflects the importance of the diversity  of humanity. It welcomes all traditions and all teaching of the world as long as they bring harmony and growth. We also live  these believes also in our community by combining spiritual  practises such as meditation, yoga, breath-work, shamanism and traditional medicine, psychology, Buddhism, Christianity (in the essence of the realisation of the mystery of God and as reconnection with creation in its origin), Taoism, Daoism, Theta healing, Inner Child meditation and shadow work, singing and dancing, life celebration, and accomplishing rituals for the reconnection between human beings and the 5 elements. By connecting all these strands, we aim to regain through them unity with creation and realise places that can host all this traditions and teachings in a pray of unity.

We work with medicine people, teachers, wisdom keepers and artists of all over the world hosting them for retreats, courses, seminars and events, sharing and supporting with them the same prayers for the wellbeing of mother earth and the improvement of happiness, light and joy in the heart of all our brothers and sisters.
